Tiber Island, a boat-shaped islet in Rome’s Tiber River, has long been linked to healing. Home to an ancient temple of Asclepius, the Greek god of medicine, built around 293 BC it is an iconic buiding in Rome. I
t’s situated on the western side of the island and is directly connected to the Trastevere district by the Ponte Cestio bridge.
